New Vendor: Timberworks Toys by Kitty Robertson Morse, Heirloom Wooden Toys

October 25, 2010

We’ve recently introduced a new line of building kits to our site called Timberworks Toys, and they are so much fun I wanted to tell you about them in more detail here.  The owner, Chris Heston, contacted us last summer to see if we wanted to include them on our site and after talking to him for awhile, I was convinced they would be a great addition to Heirloom Wooden Toys.

Just last week, Timberworks Toys were awarded the Parents’ Choice Gold Award for Best Toy of 2010!  The reviewer emphasized the educational quality of the kits, including a mention of the curriculum enhancements available free online, with ideas on using Timberworks to add another dimension of learning at school or at home.  Imagine, you are reading the Little House books, and you can build a log cabin of your own that’s big enough to really play with!  Or, you’re reading about the Wright Brothers and can build an airplane to help cement your learning.
